The Gateworld

Gateworld is one of the few inter-dimensional transport hubs to have existed oficially prior to the fall of the Enforcers. It lies atop one of the most major Ley Nodes within the system, neither in any dimension nor existing outside them.

A home to a great variety of creatures, anyone who knows the nature of the system will eventually make their way to or through Gateworld. Many decide to stay or are too destitute to move on. Gateworld consists of a single city, but there is no world for it to sit on. There is just the city. Like many cities, it has a police department, fire service, ambulance service and several hospitals, but outside the core the mob rules, guilds and clans running the streets regardless of the laws.

The city is made up of two extremes. One side is the upmarket, rich quarter, cut off my a large brick wall, home of the lavish and extremely over indulgent. The community here is similar to that of a walled city in America, it sees itself as being independant, has its own set of stringent rules in place, keeps its own police force and maintains self sufficiency. Annie is from this side of the wall.

The other side of the city is much worse off. Lacking a huge wall to cut itself off from dimensional travellers, its a hiding place for criminals, and somewhere for those who have no where else to go. Strangely enough, there are a lot of darkelves here o.o. Anyway, this side is very difficult to maintain tabs on, and the police force is over stretched trying to keep it under they're control.

There is a huge potential for characters in and around the Gateworld, but as far as the thirteenth are concerned, its a great place to hang out where they don't stick out like sore thumbs, and also there's money here in police consultancey.
