Scary Legal Jargon Bit

So yes, its a little stupid to create a whole world online where lots of people can get to it to steal it, right?

Well yes, this is true. Unfortuntely we're trusting the good nature of people an awful lot here… We're hoping that this will eventually be something we can use for profit in something (we're not sure what yet o.O). Part of the reason that its so blatantly posted online is because we need to make sure that we're not nicking anyone else's well thought out ideas.

From UK law;

That said, everything posted on the internet is subject to copyright of its poster, unless it is itself an infringment of the copyright of someone else. That means that legally you cannot copy/paste something that someone else has written online, and claim it as your own in anyway or anywhere. This includes images, and 'special features' of a website.

We take this to mean that this copyright also extends to the ideas within the text. By this we mean specific ideas, not common ones, such as specific and particularly individual names, character ideas and plot specifics.

So, the artist she claims that the artwork is hers, and tells you not to steal it lest she eat your brains, and use your intestine as bootlaces.

The writer, he claims that the writing is his, and that you shall not copy it in part or whole without his permission, lest he eat your eyeballs.

We would both like to make it clear that anything that is suggested to us will not be considered a part of the project as a whole until we have permission to use it after the person who suggested it leaves.

Yes, this is more serious than in looks. And yes, there will be free cookies/sketches for anyone who kindly offers to write this up properly for me T_T
